Abstract
⺠We explored the use of routine screening for comorbid depression for patients with epilepsy. ⺠Both the specific NDDI-E and the general PHQ-2 are suitable for use in primary care settings. ⺠Detection of depression can be increased by routine screening and was acceptable to patients. ⺠More recent and frequent seizures predicted screening positive for major depressive episode.
