Abstract
⺠This is the first questionnaire-based case-control study on sleep and epilepsy conducted with Chinese patients in Hong Kong. ⺠The children with epilepsy had similar sleep patterns but greater sleep disturbances compared with healthy subjects in almost all domains as assessed with the Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire. ⺠The cutoff value of 41 used for the Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire should not be applied to Chinese patients probably because of genetic or sociocultural differences.
