Abstract
⺠More than 90% of studies demonstrate a positive impact of epilepsy surgery on health-related quality of life. ⺠Preoperative psychological status and patients' expectations affect health-related quality of life after surgery. ⺠Seizure freedom, but not seizure improvement, relates to better health-related quality of life after surgery. ⺠The methods and instruments used to assess health-related quality of life impact the results.
