Abstract
⺠Dostoevsky and patients with temporolimbic epilepsy shared similar experiences. ⺠In temporolimbic patients, these experiences were seizure related. ⺠Dostoevsky and patients with temporolimbic epilepsy experienced an ecstatic aura. ⺠Temporolimbic epilepsy reveals an organic basis for some of Freud's theories.
