Abstract
⺠The availability of comprehensive EEG databases is of crucial importance for seizure prediction. ⺠Early studies were based on selected short-term recordings including few seizures. ⺠Database size was found to be negatively correlated with prediction performance. ⺠Currently, a European Union-funded database is being compiled that includes recordings of 275 patients and will be available to the public in 2012.
