Abstract
⺠Absence seizures with onset before the age of 3 years showed a good clinical outcome. ⺠Early-onset absence epilepsy had a cognitive outcome similar to that with a later onset. ⺠Early-onset absence epilepsy may be a subsyndrome of childhood absence epilepsy.
