Abstract
⺠Erythravine and 11-α-hydroxy-erythravine exhibited anticonvulsant effects in different models. ⺠Erythrinian alkaloids inhibited seizures induced by NMDA, kainic acid, pentylenetetrazole, and bicuculline. ⺠This study validates the ethnopharmacological/biotechnological potential of Erythrina mulungu.
