Abstract
⺠DTI is used to study microstructural change and its relationship to cognition. ⺠The thalamus might be a potentially important extrafrontal structure involved in FLE. ⺠A longer duration of epilepsy might result in more abnormalities in the thalamus. ⺠Patients with FLE performed significantly worse on nearly all cognitive tasks. ⺠The left frontal lobe and thalamus may contribute to cognitive impairment in FLE.
