Abstract
⺠A survey of professionals revealed risks of injury as a consequence of seizures or suspected events during EEG telemetry. ⺠Commonly reported adverse events include falls, status epilepticus, and postictal psychosis. ⺠Infrequently reported adverse events included: pneumonia, cardiac arrest, fractures, and death. ⺠More than one-third of respondents cite that patients may pull out or dislodge intracranial electrode.
