Abstract
⺠One-fifth of patients with well-controlled epilepsy on monotherapy had depression symptoms. ⺠Adverse events of antiepileptic drugs were manifested by 58.7% of those patients. ⺠Depressed patients were more likely to report adverse events than non-depressed patients. ⺠The major predictor of quality of life was depression symptoms, followed by adverse events of antiepileptic drugs.
