Abstract
⺠Traditional genome-wide association studies cannot find strong associations. ⺠We consider functional effect of single nucleotide polymorphism, networks, pathways. ⺠We show that the identified pathways elucidate the mechanisms underlying epilepsy. ⺠We show that different factors affect distinct parts of pathways for disease development. ⺠We dissect leading molecular pathways that cannot be found with traditional analyses.
