Abstract
⺠MRI analysis of whole brain and specific regions was performed in two EAE models. ⺠Multiple brain regions are affected in chronic and in relapsing-remitting EAE. ⺠Macromolecular loss and structural CNS damage are typical mainly to chronic EAE. ⺠Glatiramer acetate (GA) treatment improved the MRI parameters: T2, MTR and ADC. ⺠MRI restoration and oligodendrocyte proliferation indicate neuroprotection by GA.
