Abstract
⺠We have identified a novel population of adult olfactory radial glia-like cells (AORGs). ⺠AORGs are radially oriented, and restricted to the granular layer of the OB. ⺠AORGs exhibit phenotypical characteristics of forebrain radial glia. ⺠AORGs are generated locally throughout life, and exhibit long-term survival. ⺠AORGs might likely play a role in radial neuronal migration in the postnatal OB.
