Abstract
⺠Neurodegeneration is reversible with doxycycline in a conditional SCA1 mouse model. ⺠We studied this model by high field magnetic resonance spectroscopy and histology. ⺠Abnormal neurochemical levels normalized upon doxycycline treatment. ⺠They correlated significantly with semi-quantitative measures of pathology. ⺠MRS biomarkers can be used to monitor reversal of neurodegeneration.
