Abstract
⺠The effects of chronic noise exposure on tau phosphorylation in the rat hippocampus and the prefrontal cortex. ⺠CNE led to long-lasting increases in non-NFT hyperphosphorylated tau. ⺠NFT-tau occurs after persistence of tau hyperphosphorylation. ⺠GSK3β and PP2A levels increase in close correspondence with increase in tau hyperphosphorylation.
