Abstract

âº The proteasome-inhibitor, bortezomib, induces a painful peripheral neuropathy in rat. âº Bortezomib causes chronic mitochondrial dysfunction in primary afferent neurons. âº Mitotoxicity is a likely cause of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
