Abstract
⺠After stroke Hsp72 overexpression results in more downregulated genes relative to WT. ⺠More inflammation associated genes increase in WT mice. ⺠The density of reactive astrocytes is reduced with Hsp72 overexpression. ⺠Different phenotypes of reactive astrocytes in the penumbra are observed with time.
