Abstract
⺠Dysfunctional GABA signaling may contribute to neuropathic pain. ⺠Transplantation of GABAergic neuronal progenitors improved pain-related behavior. ⺠Grafted GABAergic cells reduced hyperexcitability of dorsal horn neurons. ⺠Antinociceptive effect of grafts is mediated through activation of GABA receptors.
