Abstract
⺠We examined if Dicer ablation would negatively impact regenerative axon growth in vivo and in vitro. ⺠Dicer KO impaired regeneration in functional, electrophysiological, histological analyses. ⺠Dicer KO neurons failed to regenerate axons in dissociated dorsal root ganglia cultures. ⺠We show that Dicer-miRNA pathway is necessary for axonogenesis and for the functional recovery.
