Abstract
⺠The ascending nociceptive pathways to the ACC (or SI) from the trigeminal ganglion were visualized. ⺠Medium and large TG neurons projected to the ACC, whereas small neurons projected to the SI. ⺠Medial and lateral nociceptive systems perform separate and non-overlapping functions.
