Abstract
⺠The neurotrophic properties of transplanted neural stem cells are limited in time. ⺠Transplanted NPCs survival depends on region-specific host brain support. ⺠Striatal lesion induces a reactive, β1-integrin dependent supportive environment. ⺠Long term cultured NPC spheres exhibit reduced neurotrophic properties.
