Abstract

âº Different topographic distributions of BBB and tissue damage within the first 3Â h after MCAO onset. âº Ischemic BBB damage develops faster in brain tissue with moderately severe ischemia. âº The gelatinase MMP-2 contributes to early ischemic BBB damage.
