Abstract
⺠Eleven inbred mouse strains underwent pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus. ⺠We compared eight inbred mouse strains for sensitivity to pilocarpine-induced seizures and seizure-induced cell death. ⺠We found no significant differences in seizure sensitivity following pilocarpine administration. ⺠Two of these strains (BALB/cJ and BALB/cByJ) are resistant to seizure-induced cell death.
