Abstract
⺠SK channel function is significantly reduced in epileptic tissue. ⺠SK channel blockade leads to exacerbation of epileptiform activity. ⺠Loss of SK function in epileptic tissue is due to downregulation of SK2 mRNA. ⺠Western blot confirms reduced expression of SK2 channel protein.
