Abstract
⺠Transcriptomics identifies altered pathways in putamen of idiopathic PD patients. ⺠These pathways are related to synaptic plasticity and cell signalling cascades. ⺠These changes are probably adaptive to dopamine denervation. ⺠The same pathways are altered in an asymptomatic LRRK2 G2019S mutation carrier. ⺠PD patients who are carriers of the G2019S mutation lack these expression changes.
