Abstract
⺠Time course of abnormal patterns of activity in the cortex and basal ganglia in a rodent model of Parkinson's disease. ⺠Dopamine lesion alters signal treatment and promotes high voltage spindles. ⺠Early stage: transient motoric impairment with spindle disruption and inflammation. ⺠Mid stages: increase in spindle occurrence while locomotion is back to normal. ⺠Late stages: durable motoric impairment with changes in signal processing in the SNr.
