Abstract
⺠Progressive visual loss is characterized in a model of congenital deafness. ⺠The Igf1â/â is proposed as a new animal model of human syndromic deaf-blindness. ⺠Absence of IGF1 induces the deterioration of visual function. ⺠IGF1 is necessary for the maintenance of visual system physiology.
