Abstract
⺠Early exposure to general anesthesia impairs the immature neuronal mitochondria. ⺠Anesthesia causes free oxygen radical upregulation and lipid peroxidation. ⺠EUK-134 and R(+) pramipexole down regulate ROS and protect mitochondria. ⺠EUK-134 and R(+) pramipexole prevent anesthesia-induced cognitive impairments.
