Abstract
⺠Gliosis is the dominant change of the cerebellar transcriptome upon ERCC1 deficiency. ⺠No transcriptome evidence of Purkinje cell degeneration in the ERCC1-deficient brain. ⺠Forebrain transcripts of cholesterol biosynthesis genes decline upon ERCC1 deficiency. ⺠Defects in DNA repair may reduce cholesterol biosynthesis in the brain.
