Abstract
⺠Ferritin overexpression in Drosophila glia causes a late onset movement disorder. ⺠Ferritin overexpression in Drosophila glia disrupts circadian rhythms in aging flies. ⺠Transgenic expression of both ferritin subunits is required for ferritin assembly. ⺠Ferritin forms crystalline iron-loaded inclusions specifically in optic lobe glia.
