Abstract
⺠We examine the existence of adenosine 2A receptors in the primate basal ganglia. ⺠In situ hybridization detects A2AR mRNA in neurons of basal ganglia output nuclei. ⺠CTB tracing reveals expression of the receptor in these neurons. ⺠We report the presence of A2A receptors in basal ganglia output nuclei.
