Abstract
âºDopaminergic injury induces dopamine transporter (DAT) down-regulation. âºMidbrain DA-cells regulate DAT differentially. âºDAT regulation correlates with DA-cell vulnerability. âºDA-cells in the VTA and rostromedial SN regulate DAT and remain intact. âºDA-cells in the caudoventral SN do not regulate DAT and degenerate.
