Abstract
► We measured effects of visual input versus open or closed eyes on fMRI. ► Univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis metrics were compared. ► Eyes open or closed had major effects on fMRI dynamics and connectivity. ► Visual input (light or dark) had less significant effects on fMRI markers. ► Results have implications for design of resting state fMRI studies.
