Abstract
⺠First systematic description of EEG Microstates in wake and NREM sleep stages. ⺠Four wake microstate maps remain conserved in sleep, and their stability increases. ⺠Results suggest that microstates are reflecting functional large-scale networks. ⺠Microstate previously associated with attention diminishes in deep sleep. ⺠Suggesting functional changes in spatially maintained networks throughout sleep.
