Abstract
⺠Rats were trained to undergo optical imaging spectroscopy whilst fully conscious. ⺠Haemodynamic responses to whisker pad stimulation were recorded. ⺠Responses contained oscillations and inversions not found in anaesthetised animals. ⺠The results may be important for in-vivo research into brain imaging signals.
