Morphometric gray matter differences of the medial frontal cortex influence the social Simon effect

► The social Simon effect (SSE) shows remarkable variability across subjects. ► Voxel-based-morphometry was used to investigate individual differences in the SSE. ► Variability of the SSE is negatively correlated with GM-volume of the MFC. ► This finding might help to improve our understanding of joint action.
