► We compared cortical thickness patterns between AD offspring and non-AD offspring. ► Results from this study are congruent with previous studies in preclinical AD. ► Pattern of aging related cortical thinning in AD offspring was characteristic of AD. ► These age-related cortical changes began to accelerate at around age 60. ► These patterns are more pronounced in women and maternal-AD offspring.
