Abstract
► We applied TMS to mask stimuli of orientation Gratings versus Faces. ► There was a later peak masking latency, and slower recovery, for Faces. ► We next TMS-masked composite Gratings-Faces images with two tasks. ► There was still a later recovery of the masking curve in the Faces task. ► The TMS masking window may reflect both feedforward and fast recurrent processing.
