Abstract
⺠Local field potentials (LFPs) are generated by co-localised dipoles. ⺠The LFP model decomposes LFP into excitatory (E) and inhibitory (I) components. ⺠The LFP model can be used to investigate the balance of E/I. ⺠The balance of E/I is determined by the amplitude of E/I and their temporal lag.
