Abstract
Biosurfactants can be used for heavy metal or organic contaminant removal from contaminated soil or for bioremediation enhancement. Most research has been performed on the use of rhamnolipids. However, present and future studies involve new biosurfactants and new applications as sustainable, renewable additives for nanoparticle production and use.
