Abstract
⺠Event-related experimental designs were an important catalyst for the explosive growth of fMRI research. ⺠The use of flexible designs has opened up fMRI methods to a range of new research questions and disciplines. ⺠Because of the ubiquity of these designs in current practice, the concept of “event-related fMRI” will likely become just “fMRI”.
