Abstract
► fMRI recordings were done before and after 5 days of hand immobilization. ► Half subjects perceived daily illusory movements induced by propriotactile feedback. ► Cortical brain activations changed in untreated group not in treated group. ► Perceiving a virtual movement compensates for the lack of natural feedback.
