Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of studies of concentration polarization in the systems containing various combinations of ion-exchange particles, fibers, membranes and charged diaphragms. It is shown that polarization characteristics of such systems depend not only on the properties of each of the polarized objects and the potential difference applied to the system, but also on the positioning of the system elements in relation to each other.
