Abstract
► Diffusion-time dependence of DW-MR signal leads to novel contrast in neural tissue. ► Anomalous diffusion was observed via q-space experiments on excised rat hippocampi. ► We model the temporal scaling (TS) of signal via fractal & disordered media concepts. ► We devised a computational framework to remove bias due to Rician nature of signal. ► The interplay between TS and diffusion anisotropy was investigated.
