Abstract
⺠Minimizing scanning time increases the rate of successful MRI studies in children. ⺠To this effect, assessing two cognitive domains in one task would be helpful. ⺠The control condition of an existing language task was hypothesized to require visuospatial functions. ⺠Activation patterns from assessing this control condition overlapped with those of a visuospatial reference task. ⺠We conclude that assessing two cognitive domains using one “dual use” fMRI task is feasible.
