Abstract
► Conventional MT imaging is restricted from long scan times. ► Compared to SPGR, bSSFP provides high resolution MT data in a clinical setting. ► MTR-values in the normal brain are opposed to qMT data using bSSFP. ► Different combinations of qMT parameters can counteract to result in similar MTR. ► The limited MTR specificity makes qMT preferable for brain tissue characterization.
