Abstract
⺠A generalized dispersion model is proposed to analyze fMRI count data. ⺠The effects of inappropriate statistical models are addressed through simulations. ⺠The new model is applied to a study regarding brain function in stroke patients. ⺠Significant activation differences are detected in a number of cortical regions. ⺠Our findings provide an improved functional neuroimaging data analysis protocol.
