Abstract
⺠Glutamate receptor agonists increase MEMRI signal in the hypothalamus and hippocampus. ⺠Glutamate induced increase in MEMRI signal is blocked by AMPA receptor antagonist. ⺠An NMDA receptor antagonist decreases MEMRI signal in the hypothalamus. ⺠High dose monosodium glutamate increases MEMRI signal in the subarachnoid region.
