Abstract
⺠Pitch-size associations are widespread in the normal population. ⺠Disrupting the spatial ventriloquist effect with TMS improves auditory localisation. ⺠Multisensory integration plays a crucial role in pitch-size synesthesia. ⺠Our results support a continuum between normal crossmodal processes and synesthesia. ⺠Mild synesthetic associations might provide heuristics aiding crossmodal perception.
