Abstract
► Pitch-size associations are widespread in the normal population. ► Disrupting the spatial ventriloquist effect with TMS improves auditory localisation. ► Multisensory integration plays a crucial role in pitch-size synesthesia. ► Our results support a continuum between normal crossmodal processes and synesthesia. ► Mild synesthetic associations might provide heuristics aiding crossmodal perception.
