Abstract
⺠Fear-relevant outcomes resulted in altered caudate and MTL activation in a modified weather prediction task. ⺠Functional connectivity between caudate and MTL was reduced by fear-relevant outcomes. ⺠Reaction time and performance analyses isolated specific contributions of caudate and MTL. ⺠Data provide evidence for temporary switching between complementary memory systems.
